In Real Estate, spring has always been known as ‘the’ time to sell and indeed we have already noticed a marked increase in the number of home owners requesting an appraisal with the intention to sell.
For many home owners, spring brings the opportunity for a fresh start, whether it be for a change in lifestyle, career, schooling for children, or the chance to get settled into a new home for Christmas. In addition, buyers who had been waiting out the cold gloomy winter months to search for their new home begin to reappear out of the woodworks in the hope of finding their dream home.
This forms part of the reason why the largest number of buyers are actively searching for property during the spring months. These buyers tend to be the most ‘motivated’ buyers, holding out until there is more choice on the market.
With auction clearance rates remaining strong, the property market looks ready to hit-the-ground running following the coldest winter in years, making it one of the best times of year to achieve the best sale outcome.
